Zoho Creator update July 2024

Welcome to the Zoho Creator update for July 2024! This latest update is a change to the terms and conditions laid out by Zoho.

Updates to Zoho Creator’s Terms of Use

We’re writing to let you know that Zoho are updating their Terms of Use, in order to streamline their policies to comply with France’s HDS certification. Zoho are incorporating the following new clause under the Security section of their Terms of Use for Zoho Creator.

  • If you are subject to the General Security Policy for Health Information Systems (PGSSI-S), you shall ensure that your use of Zoho Creator complies with PGSSI-S. In order to comply with the obligations set forth in the French Public Health Code and HDS Certification with respect to the hosting of personal health data governed by French law, we are prepared to sign an addendum to the Zoho Creator Terms of Use (“HDS Addendum”). You can request the HDS Addendum from Zoho by completing this form. Once we receive your request, we’ll forward the HDS Addendum to you for your signature.

The updated Terms of Use will tentatively take effect from October 1, 2024. Please note that by continuing to use Zoho Creator after this date, you agree to comply with Zoho Creator’s updated terms.

The updated Terms of Use concern you if:

  • You are based or operating in France and you need to be compliant with HDS (Health Data Hosting)
  • Your operations in France require you to have a certificate of compliance with PGSSI-S (General Security Policy for Health Information Systems)

Zoho also have a dedicated page for HDS compliance, where you can find detailed instructions on achieving HDS certification by following the provided steps. For more details, please check this article on HDS and Zoho Creator.

We want to reassure you that your services and usage of Zoho Creator will remain unchanged. This update is primarily intended for customers who handle health data of French citizens and need to comply with HDS regulations.
