A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Anthony. I thought I’d tell you all a bit about me and how I came to be an employee at Goldstar IT.
So after a few months of blogs I think it’s time to properly introduce myself and tell you all about me. I am the System Designer here at Goldstar IT. I have quite a varied working background and have been very lucky to have had the chance to travel across the world. From the waterfalls of Liechtenstein, to the northern lights of Finland, across the plains of Africa and back to England.
Where My Love For Technology Came From
Since early teens I have had a huge passion for technology. I was around 12 or 13 when I built my first computer. I say built but I actually broke my family computer and then rebuilt it! This was way before accessible home internet, smartphones or any easy to access documentation. When the computer turned on for the first time and after I had meddled with it, my passion for computers was born.
Fast forward a few years and It’s fair to say technology still is as much of my life as it has always been. I still feel the same passion when there is new computing news or products coming out. I also love the thrill of resolving peoples problems or teaching people new tricks, even after so many years.
This then leads me on to Goldstar IT and Zoho. When I joined Goldstar, my focus was looking under the hood of Zoho. I wanted to figure out what can be done with the platform and how to push the limits of what others are already doing. This was going well, but then Covid-19 happened and took over the world.
What Zoho Did To Help
Like everyone else at the time, I was worried about the future. I didn’t know what would happen to a software that relies solely on people working. Then Zoho did something very unexpected. They reached out to small businesses and offered help, genuine help. Zoho reduced subscription costs where it was required and offered free access to apps. They also wrote custom applications specifically to help those in need. They then went one step further and offered the Zoho partners such as Goldstar, full in-depth sessions with their developers and the curators of Zoho systems. This way, the lockdown period could be productive and benefit all partners which in turn will better the service we can offer to our clients.
I took full advantage of this opportunity and I am happy to say that I now have many certifications for Zoho which is part of my never ending journey to ensure I can have the best level of knowledge and tools to provide the best solutions and service to our clients. So there we are, you now know a little bit more about me and my role at Goldstar IT.
In this changing world, no one knows what the new normal will look like. One thing is for sure, people and businesses will be looking for the best solutions from people that they can relate to and trust, solutions that morph and can adapt over time with the ever changing landscape of the future. The time of a one size fits all product is over. I would urge you to get in touch today for a friendly and professional discussion regarding your business needs for the coming months and beyond.
