Update Reports Permissions

Zoho have upgraded report permissions in Zoho Books to bolster your organisation’s security and streamline report sharing. For new organisations, you’ll now need to grant access to both reports and their related modules when creating user roles, ensuring more precise control over data access. Existing organisations will receive notifications prompting them to update roles missing these permissions. Additionally, the new “Skip Module Access” option allows you to share reports with specific users without giving them access to the associated modules. This enhancement ensures that sensitive information is protected while facilitating targeted and efficient report distribution.

Create Custom Dashboards

You can now customise your dashboards with greater flexibility using predefined components, marketplace widgets, and reports. This enhancement allows you to reorder, edit, delete, and resize charts and components to better fit your needs. Additionally, you can mark your custom dashboards as favorites for quick access and manage dashboard permissions to control user access.

This enhancement allows you to display comprehensive information, including the item’s measurement details (e.g., kg, litres, pieces), alongside your organisational branding. These updates improve the clarity and utility of your barcodes, facilitating better inventory management and providing more detailed product information for both internal use and customer-facing scenarios.

To enable these features in your barcode templates, go to Settings > Items > Field Customisation.

Other Feature Enhancements

  • Use custom fields to search for manual journals in the advanced search bar.
  • You can now calculate custom formula fields for all existing records, not just new or edited ones. Once the existing records are updated, you’ll receive a notification.
