We have a very simple way of looking at software deployment and systems integration. Our plea to any business who may be tempted to dabble in something they’re not fully up-to-speed with is this: if you can’t get something right, then please leave it to someone who can…

Between us, we have more than 60 years’ experience working in big organisations across the public and private sectors. We know first-hand what it takes to get a deployment right – and we also know the sheer frustration that can stem from botched integrations and implementations that simply are not fit for purpose.

At Goldstar, we’re committed to delivering a better way forward. We are more than CRM Consultants, Advanced Zoho Partners or Digital Transformation specialists. For a start, we’re not in the business of ‘selling’ software. By getting to know your people and your business, we work with you hand-in-hand to get to the bottom of what you need – and not those vague offerings you may have been told that you need.

Paul Goldsmith

I’m the director of the business and have been in the IT industry for almost 20 years. Working from base IT support to architecting complex systems, integrating CRMs and more. I love most sports, gaming, pizza and most of all spending time with my partner and three children.

Vicki Goldsmith

Having always worked in a financial role, I qualified with the AAT in 2011 and now specialise in migrating company accounts from one software to another. I enjoy family time with my husband, baby daughter and two step children and love cooking.

Rod Funnell

As a Marketing Manager, I love the challenge of solving problems and puzzles. My work is founded on building open, trusted, relationships to deliver effective, team-driven results. Away from the office I‘m still focused on creative problem solving and teamwork, I have to be as I’m a Bassist in a blues rock band and enjoy being a Dad to a very energetic, inquisitive daughter!

David McMurdo

I’m an ambitious & enthusiastic developer, if I don’t know how something works my solution is always to strip it down to work out how it works and then put it back together even stronger than it was before. In my spare time I enjoy taking on ambitious and sometimes slightly wild adventures! I have recently completed a bungee jump and a mountain climb, and I’ve completed multiple cycling challenges.

John Kakkasseri

I’ve been involved with technology as a profession for over a decade, but it’s woven through my entire life. I’m a gadget geek, always chasing the latest tech buzz. When I’m not weaving magic with code, I’m on a quest for the perfect travel snapshot. I love exploring new places and capturing memories through my lens. Life’s a journey, and I’m here to make it a bit more tech-savvy and a lot more adventurous!

Urwa Dar

Armed with a master’s degree in computer science, I’m always ready to take on any digital challenge but when I’m not knee-deep in coding, I love horror movies. Despite the occasional post-movie jitters, I can’t resist a good scare, although I also enjoy Harry Potter marathons! While not the most avid reader, I love getting lost in a good book, letting my imagination roam free. Plus, being from an Asian Pakistani background, nothing beats a Biryani cooking in the kitchen, see my culinary adventures @Food_A_Lishous!

Duncan Scott

I’ve worked in technology since the mid-90s, moving to support cloud based applications only 5 years ago. What I like most is to be given an issue and to try and solve it for the client – whether on my own, or with a team around me. I also really like to focus on customer satisfaction. As for outside of work I’m a lapsed (old and injured!) rugby player who now tries to ride a bike a lot….. Final but (maybe it should be first) – I’m married with a grown up daughter!

Owen Jeal

I’ve journeyed from the shores of marine conservation to the world of technology. As a former animal rescuer with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, I’ve always been passionate about problem-solving, whether it’s saving marine life or developing solutions in tech. Outside of work, I’m an avid dog walker, an active member Section 5 Drummers Hastings which take part in many events around East Sussex. Whether it’s coding or celebrating the quirky traditions of my community, I approach everything with enthusiasm and a bit of adventure.

Hamza Muhammad

I’m a problem solver at heart, always ready to take on challenges—whether it’s streamlining business processes as a Zoho Developer or finding the perfect cricket strategy on the field. With a knack for turning complex issues into streamlined solutions, I thrive in environments where innovation and efficiency are key. Outside of work, I’m all about family time and enjoying life’s simple pleasures with my wife or catching a game of cricket. Life is all about balance, and I’m committed to making the most of every moment.

Discovery – Understanding your business

Effective business transformation starts by asking the right questions. That’s why we like to start with a discovery workshop.

It’s a fact-finding mission where we get to know your processes and process management, people and technical set-up.

To the drawing board to put together your new system. Based upon the results of our Discovery Workshop and using our experience we work with you to build the very best solution for your needs.

Implementation, Configuration and Development

Our expert engineers work transparently and collaboratively with you, helping you maximise Zoho’s potential to ensure a hassle-free implementation. Together we configure and develop custom solutions to match your preferred way of working and existing software stack.

Testing and Migration of Data

With all, you must always test, test and test again. We also like to get some of your power users to start using the system as soon as possible. This allows your users to see if there is anything that isn’t quite right before release.

We’ll help you migrate your data from any existing system you have in place whether that’s excel spreadsheets, an old CRM or even a custom database. From us we’ll give you honest advice and ask you the right questions to help you determine if you need all, some or none of the data.

Training – Getting to know your solution

For your teams to get the most out of Zoho, the right kind of onboarding is essential. The needs of day-to-day users, data managers and IT administrators are all very different. It’s why our training is always relevant, practical – and never dull.

Our training is designed for real people, to make sure you’re up and running with your new software in no time.

Release and launch

Once your system is ready all that’s left to do is launch it to your users internally. If there are any components that are customer-facing then these will be launched in agreement with yourselves. Often it’s best to wait a couple of weeks so your users can get used to the system.
